42 weeks, a few hundred people

BSome human evidenceIn clinical trialsas of 2026-10-27

In the published trial, the most common adverse event was nausea. It was mostly mild and came in the dose-escalation period. It affected 20 percent versus 6 percent on placebo. Vomiting, diarrhoea and constipation occurred at rates like placebo. No deaths were reported. Trials of 42 weeks in a few hundred people cannot detect rare harms. Nothing is known about use beyond a year. Nothing is known about use in people with kidney or liver disease, or about pregnancy. The phase 3 program is meant to fill those gaps. 12
